Connect EasyFiling to Claude and Other AI Tools
EasyFiling's MCP connector lets you link your account directly to Claude or any other MCP-compatible AI assistant. Once connected, you can ask your AI tool about your company status, pending actions, and upcoming filings — without logging into the dashboard.
What is the MCP connector?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants securely access data and take actions in outside apps, with your explicit permission. The EasyFiling connector uses this standard to give Claude (or another MCP-compatible tool) a live, permission-scoped view of your account.
With it connected, you can ask things like:
- "What's the status of my company registration?"
- "Do I have any pending actions this month?"
- "What filings are coming up for [Company Name]?"
What you can do with it
Capability | Description |
|---|---|
Company registration | View the status of formation, EIN, and registered agent orders. |
Pending actions | See open requests where EasyFiling needs information or documents from you. |
Company & order status | Check where any order or filing currently stands. |
Upcoming filings | Get visibility into deadlines before they're due. |
Choosing your access level
You control exactly what the connector can see and do:
- Read only (safest) — Claude can answer questions about your companies, orders, and document statuses. No actions are taken on your behalf.
- Read & write — Claude can also help prepare certain actions for you. Sensitive steps always require your explicit confirmation before anything is submitted — Claude cannot complete high-risk actions unsupervised.
You can further scope read & write access by permission:
- Company registration
- Pending actions
Permissions can be changed at any time without needing to reconnect.
Setting it up
1. Copy your secure URL From your EasyFiling account settings, go to the MCP connector setup page and copy your unique connection URL. Treat this URL like a password — anyone with it can connect to your account data within the permissions you've set.
2. Open your AI tool's connector settings In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors and select Add custom connector.
3. Paste and connect Name the connector "EasyFiling," paste in your URL, and approve the connection. That's it — your AI tool can now access EasyFiling within the permissions you selected.
Other MCP-compatible tools can connect using the same URL via standard Streamable HTTP settings, available under the "Other MCP apps" tab on the setup page.
Security and privacy
- EasyFiling never shares passwords, SSNs, payment credentials, or document file contents through the connector.
- Your connection URL includes an embedded authentication token — if it's ever exposed, generate a new one immediately (see below) to invalidate the old one.
- Sensitive or irreversible actions always require your manual confirmation, even with Read & write access enabled.
Managing your connection
From the MCP connector setup page in your account settings, you can:
- View connection status — see whether the connector is active and when it was last used.
- Generate a new URL — this disconnects the current connection; you'll need to reconnect your AI tool with the new URL. Permission changes do not require reconnecting.
- Revoke access — immediately disable the connector and invalidate the current token.
Frequently asked questions
Does connecting the MCP connector give AI tools access to my payment information? No. EasyFiling never exposes payment credentials, SSNs, passwords, or raw document contents through the connector, regardless of your permission settings.
Can I use this with AI tools other than Claude? Yes. Any MCP-compatible tool can connect using the standard Streamable HTTP connection details available on the setup page.
What happens if I lose or expose my connection URL? Generate a new URL from the setup page immediately. This invalidates the old one and disconnects any tool using it — you'll then need to reconnect with the new URL.
Will changing my permissions disconnect my AI tool? No. You can adjust what the connector can access at any time without needing to reconnect.
Can the AI tool submit filings or make payments on its own? No. Sensitive and irreversible actions always require your explicit confirmation, even with Read & write access enabled.
